Kraalkop 28 April 2013

A conservation area owned by Anglo Gold in between Fochville and Carletonville. Its available for day hikes and also offers camps for overnight stays.
We did the day hike of about 10km, very pleasant. It took us initially through rocky terrain down the spruit, progress at times was difficult but also very adventerus. It than opens up and we saw lots of game. The reserve is also used for hunting.
At one stage the hike goes past the Gold extraction plant with apparently security cameras watching our every move.
On the way home we took in the Danie Theron monument which is nearby there.
