Is this the end? End of what? Well, the end of our hiking group. Our numbers have shrank so much that we have lost
critical mass. That is through people moving away (Australia, New Zealand), through sickness and even through death (Linda, Jim). Age,
of course , would also play a role. Just worked out roughly what our average age is, including the youngsters we are at 55.
What is to
be done? Abandoning the group should not be on the agenda, we are a nice bunch and would like to stick together for a while still. We
will have some discussions at the AGM on the 5-Dec. Any input is welcome and if you can't make the AGM please at least send us a note
of what you think should be done.
And now an other year has gone by and we still exist, Janine is the present chairman. Now what is to be done here? Having got all this space I will carry on logging the hikes and even bring back some of the epic ones that I did with Jim and others.
But not yet, I first have to add the latest report on our trip to Iceland, that was Jörg and me.
