Germany Oct 2009
Jim and I were going to go to Iceland, when this didn't happen I decided that I should pay my Vaterland a visit. But this was not a hiking trip, it was mostly visiting friends and family. So, how should I handle this and not bore you to changing channel. I'll keep it short and just talk around a few pictures.
First pic: One of my aims was to work on the family history, for that purpose I reported at the church office to search through the old records. I was mainly after one line of the family for which I had only limited data, only going back to 1870.
I managed to pick up from there and get back to 1757, the year my Great5 Grandfather was born.
2nd pic: Bernd invited me to play a round of golf at a nearby course. A funny thing happened there. Bernd had just Ted off when a Black Crow came along, took his ball and flew off with it.
How do you score something like this? Do you have to take a penalty? Later on Bernd did find out what the rules say, place a new ball where the previous one had landed and carry on without penalty.
Enough for today, I'll carry on with this later.
